I read the Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and had an idea for a retelling of sorts—which led me down the rabbit hole of reading other retellings of the 1900 classic.

I’m currently making my way through the Dorothy Must Die Series, by Danielle Paige (I’m on chapter 3 of the fourth book). Listening to it through Scribd while I work really makes the day go by fast and the narrator (Devon Sorvari) makes the story really pop—especially Queen Lulu.

Next, I may try to tackle Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maquire.
